Today's Flowers - In memory

Photobucket

Today's Flowers is founded by Luiz Santilli jr.

In memory of my youngest brother, who would have been 58 years old today.
It is 4 years since he died of mole cancer. During his illness we talked about a dream many people have, about falling from a height. I never fall, he told me. I simply unfold my wings - and see the beautiful world from above. I often think of him like that. A free spirit, curious, artistic, a man who tried to see the big picture and not be stopped by small detailes. And still he never forgot that the big picture always is made of the same small detailes.

He was so brave that last year. I miss him so much.

This is a scheduled post, since I am on vacation. I will visit you later on! Have a wonderful TF Sunday!

Både vakkert og rørende, Valkyrien.

Dear Valkyrien,
I am sorry about your brother- it´s very upsetting to understand that someone who has hold his head up all his life and battled all the battles in the end of his day has to give up and go when there would still be so much to do. Not fair and I feel very personal about this too.

Kos deg videre i ferien din da.
Klem herfra.

I agree that this is a beautiful tribute to your brother. I'm sure he is looking down on his sister as she speaks such wonderful words about him.

Beautiful flower picture and tribute.

Perhaps if Death is kind,
and there can be returning,
We will come back to earth some fragrant night,
And take these lanes to find the sea, and bending
Breathe the same honeysuckle, low and white.

We will come down at night to these resounding beaches
And the long gentle thunder of the sea,
Here for a single hour in the wide starlight
We shall be happy, for the dead are free.

kram, Eva

Your pics are amazing as usual, and I also feel for you, by this age almost all of us have lost a very dear one, I lost my father like twenty years ago and still miss him. Homenages like this help us feel them a bit closer. Hugs.
