Du ska itte trø i graset
Spede spira lyt få stå

Do not tread on the grass
Let the tender sprout be

Life without ability to speak has a purpose
you should see and consider

På Guds jord og i hass hage
er du sjølv et lite strå.

On Gods earth and in his garden
You are your self a tiny straw.

Dikt/poem av Einar Skjæråsen
Please excuse my own translation - it is difficult to translate one of Norways most famous poets!

Jeg skjønner det at etter at du ble med må man skjerpe seg! Det siste bildet var imponerende på alle måter - jeg må ut og krype i gresset!

De engelskspråklige har et problem - den teksten er nesten ugjendiktbar. Vakkert!

Just as I love Duerer's study of a sod of meadow, I love your studies of grass. You did well with the translation of the poem, the sense certainly came across.
It is good to realise that we are just as transient as the grass, and that the smallest pebble was here many thousands of years before us and will remain when we are long gone.

Stunning details! Really incredible. I was in Norway with a country music entertainer a few years back and had a wonderful time. I remember a very old church, one of the oldest in the world they say, that we visited in some small town on the coast.
