Superb contrasts and similarities between the two photos. Love your study of the dandelion seed head further down as well. Your eye for detail is top notch, I may have to invest in a macro lens as well.
Great photos for Sky Watch Friday. Thanks for sharing the inspiration, I too spend too much time in the city and found it hard to see pretty skies in between the buildings but you have given lots of inspiration there.
You're number one this week! Great timing... and to complement that...great pictures! Living in the city and spending a lot of times in the woods, I see similar skies all the time, but I do always love them.
Nice shots, Valkyrien, and absolutely true words. That's why I'm glad I'm not living in a big city and that we have lots of open space in the northern part of the Netherlands. :-) Have a good weekend!
Congratulations on snagging that number one spot on Skywatch Friday. As much as you comment on other bloggers' sites, you deserve to slide in first. Great perspective on those photos you posted!
Beautiful contrast! You are right! The sky is difficult to see in both worlds! But one is fresh with life and the other can be a little stale with polluted life.

Gunilla
Nice pictures! Sometimes the sky is not easy to see even in nature!
Have a nice weekend!
Clever comparison! And nice photos to illustrate what you mean.
I like both of these shots. I think it's interesting seeing a bit of sky through buildings and also through trees. Beautiful in their different ways.
Nice comparison! - I prefer the second glimpse of sky though :)
I love that perspective! Great captures! Truly awesome!
We aren't as tall as we think we are.
Superb contrasts and similarities between the two photos.

Flotte bilder. Viser det samme men med to vidt forskjellige virkemidler
Eg skjønnar kva du meiner, det kan jo vere eit problem begge deler, men eg vil heller ha trer som skygger for sola:) Stilige bilder.
so very very true...two lovely captures...i am a sucker for trees and sky ;)

Interesting creative idea to show the urban and natural forest.
Flott bilde det siste. Blir noe trollsk over trærne.
Ha en flott pinsehelg :-)
I think I, too, prefer the second glimpse. :)
Both are excellent shots, the last one of the trees is my favourite.
Have a great weekend.

I like places you found the sky!
I have to view this post again later tonight at my home PC because everytime I only see one photo come up.
I love skywatching in the city. My attention is swinging back and forth to sky and skyscapers.
Very nice set of photos! High trees and high buildings making difficult to see the sky. Clever comparison!
loved the series, thank you for sharing the pics. :-)
good contrast and comparison

Your a crack how you
show the differences
Great ! ! !

I always enjoy your photos. The composition is always superb! These are beautiful!

very true! Great comparison... although I guess I prefer the trees ~Maria
Flotte bilder!
No problem! Great shots.
No problem for me Valkyrien, the sky still looks beautiful. Are they old Gorm's trees? Fantastic Valk!
I love your sky watch shots. Especially the one with the trees. Lovely : )
These parallel trees are really lovely.
You can always go to the roof or climb a tree. :-) Nice pictures I especially like the second one.
Agreed, it is hard to find a clear spot to take a photograph of the sky. Your pictures are lovely.

That is very true !!!
However, I know which view I prefer :-) Definitely nature !!!
Both are wonderful shots..
I do like the angles and the curves in the first photo, as well.. nature still truiumphs , though. :-)
The city scene is unique and a great shot.
The trees, wow, are they sisters? ;-)
Amazing how they look so similar and you have captured them wonderfully!

The sky may be hard to see, but I do see blue in your sky. Thanks for sharing.
oh my! the second photo is stunning...what a beautiful perspective!
Love the angles you used in these shots. It is always a delight to visit your blog. Have a great weekend. Smiles Barbara

lovely perspectives! wherever you go, it seems like you are just given a peek of the beautiful skies! thanks for sharing!
I like the contrast of these two photos.
Enjoy your skywatching and happy Friday!
Great comparisons! Both have their own kind of beauty. :)
What amazing photography and unique captures - keep up the amazing work :)
I never looked at it that way, but I think you have a good point.
Your shot through the trees is beautiful. The starburst is a nice capture.
amazing looking trees.
Very nice pair of photos. Sometimes, its not what you see, its what you don't see...
A good point, and marvelously illustrated!
Mange takk for flere koselige kommentarer!
Lovely photos. Love the sky view.

Hey, who's blocking my sky? I love the second shot!
Fint perspektiv på begge bildene.
Veldig flott! :)
i like the juxtaposition! there are more similarities in our environments than differences!
outstanding juxtaposition! :-)
sentiment is mutual, but at the same time, the city does provide for some interesting contrasts involving the sky.
