While it is snowing cats and dogs outside, I can allow myself dreaming of last summer! When it was so hot, even the flowers bowed in gratitude when showered with water from a sprinkler.
I do not know the name of this great flowerball - maybe someone can enlighten me?

I think many of us still are dreaming of flowers from last yr. Beautiful photo
Beautiful, such a lovely capture of the shower of water on those delicate blooms. Great photos! I saw your snow photos, oh my goodness, let us dream of spring :)

Believ the next spring & summer will come one day.

I'm dreaming of last simmer too. Yesterday wa warmer than normal s it seemed to be getting closer. But today it feels very far away. Love the alliums you posted. ;-)
The cool spray in the face on a hot summer day---now that is winter dreaming.
Lovely flower, it looks like an Allium. MB
Great shots! I really like that you captured the water giving the flowers a brief relief from the heat.

Beautiful photos.
Thanks for post in TODAY'S FLOWERS.
Whatever it is, it's a beautiful color. Nice shot to have caught the water drops too.
Can it be a powder puff, too! I posted one on my blog but it looks a bit different. The stem and color are different. Oh I don't know ...
Valkyrien: Glad some people could help you on the name of these neat purple flowers.
I love your captures of the flower with rain falling on them. Delightful and refreshing! :)
Very beautiful!!!
Mitt tips är att den berömda duschade växten heter kirgislök på svenska i alla fall. Torde vara från familjen allium dit även gräslök hör. Mitt tips ;-)) Ha en fin dag!
Thank you for all your kind comments! And also; now I know a bit more about the flower! Allium! When summer comes I will check with the owner of the flowers!
They are either Allium or Agapanthus, if you crush the leaves and they have a pungent/garlic smell then it is most likely Allium?
Beautiful flowers, perhaps some of many alliums like somebody said:)
I have been checking around on the internett today - and I believe Ross is the one with the right name! Agapanthus - or Lily of the Nile! They come in a lot of various types, mostly blue. I have a picture of one in blue form the same garden.
Hi Valkyrien
Woderful post, marvelous pink plants.
Thanks for sharing!
Luiz
Det var deilig å drømme seg bort i dine fine sommerbilder en stund mens snøen laver ned ute. :)
Hi there,
I think these are alliums, not agapanthus. They are a member of the onion flower, and the flowers dry very well and look good for a long time in the garden. I love the lower photo, so lively! And all the photos on your blog. What a great flower photographer you are! Congrats on Guest Posting today.
