Watery Wednesday and Tarolino's Challenge

Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy. Please pay a visit - and get cyber wet!

Today, this entry is also my respond to Tarolinos challenge: Reacurring theme on my blog! I love taking photos of ice - and water! I could have posted some of my macros of icicles - but listen lady - it is Spring!!! ;) So here it is Tarolino, a little ice, some snow - and a lot of water!

This is from the same place; Forest Museum in Elverum, and the river Glomma. The two first shots is from the snow and ice melting this spring. The following is photos taken last year, after the melting was done - and the river much bigger than unusal. What's usual depends - they are used to flooding in those parts of the country.

Var visst ikke mye fart i den elven i år....? Men det er vel litt i vente fra fjellområdene enda :-)

Lovely photos, as always - the first one so crisp. I very much like the forest under water. And the waves look surprisingly high.

Yes, spring has finally come to our northern countries!

I love the last photo - water is free!

What an awesome sight you have captured in each photo! I think my favourite if the first one with the dark bridge outline against the snow! But I think the wave motion in the last photo is a close second!

Each photo is wonderful in it's own right. Impossible to pick a favorite.

Fantastiska bilder!

So the challenge is what? To find the recurring theme in your own photography?

Hmm... that could be difficult to identify.

But I always enjoy your winterscapes. You and a few others in your part of the world do such a fabulous job with those... We get very few such opportunities here. It doesn't stay cold enough for long enough to give us the hard freezes like you get. so I'm a little envious when I see the perfect blue of your ice with a brilliant sunrise or sunset gleaming off of it.

Can't wait to see what it looks like thawed out!

All are beautiful, but I must say the last photo is the closest in my heart. Love them waves.

Beautiful shots. The waves in that last photo look like they're confused. They almost look like they're crisscrossing.

I'm very sorry about all the flooding - that can be a huge pain! But you have some really nice shots at any rate

The first shots are lovely, the later ones frightening. That water looks dangerous.

I can't say which of these pictures is my favorite. I think they are all wonderful, but the first would sure make a great post card.

Yes...it looks like the ice is turning into water! Great scenes. The first one looks so peaceful and the last one so dramatic! Pretty soon the lakes will be full of people enjoying the warm sunshine and beautiful skies. Enjoy the day!

Flotte bilder, ja alt som var hvitt skal bort nå så da blir det fart og spenning i bekker og elver. Og enda så er vel ikke toppen nådd enda.
