Watery Wednesday

My entry this week is some photos I took last autumn. The place is outside a town called Elverum, and is called Norwegian Forest Museum. It is a museum with national responsibility of hunting, fishing and forest industry. The river is Glomma, it is 600 km long and is the longest river in Norway. The bridge leads to an island in the river. There one can visit old buildings from 1600 century. The museum was visited by over 110.000 people in 2008 - the number is much higher, since not all pay to visit the museum - but visit just for a walk around the beautiful area.

Every one of these could be a postcard. You should license them to the tourism bureau!

Simply gorgeous!

All the photos are great. I am loving the second one with a man standing at the edge contemplating something. Fantastic post.

These pictures are beautiful. I especially like the way you captured the reflections in the water in the first picture. Thanks for a wonderful post.

These are very beautiful scenes - I'd love to have a place like that somewhere close to photograph!

These are really beautiful. I love the golds and the reflections in the water.

My favorite among these is the first. I'm impressed with how perfectly still the surface of the water seems to be.

Flotte linjer og reflekser i det nederste fotoet. Og de andre to er også vakre høstbilder, men håper det blir leeeenge til kommende høst. Nå har vi akkurat 6 måneder vår og sommer, - før den inntrer :-)

Lovely shots- so very peaceful! I can almost hear the crickets chirping and the whiperwills calling.

Detta är ju vackert. Förutom att hösten är den bästa tiden för fotografering så är området utsökt fint. Visst förstår jag att folk gärna besöker det gång efter annan. Det var ju en imponerande lång flod det där.
