This picture was taken may 2008 in Oslo. The dark and rainy clouds couldn't stop the sun breaking through. Tryvann Tower to the right is 118 m. high and is owned by Telenor (radio and Televisioncompany) - and it is also a station for meteorological observations. It is placed 529 m. above sea level, and on sunny days one can see all the way to Sweden from an observationstage placed 60 m high up in the tower.
1980 - 1990 the tower had 100 000 visiters, but today it is closed. One of the reasons for closing; new fire safety rules.
